The professional estate of Prof. Theodor Ganzenmüller (*1864 - †1937) spans from 1890 to 1937. It contains documents related to the history of the University of Agriculture and Brewing in Weihenstephan as well as documents concerning Prof. Ganzenmüller's teaching activities there. In 1894, Prof. Ganzenmüller was appointed to the full professorship of technical business administration at the Royal Bavarian Academy for Agriculture and Brewing in Weihenstephan, which was integrated into the Technical University of Munich in 1930. "Steam Theo" was a dominant figure in the brewing department of the THM. He revolutionized brewing technology by introducing the steam engine. In addition to his teaching and research activities, Ganzenmüller became internationally known through his consulting office for breweries.
