The estate of Prof. Schumann (*1888 - †1974) covers the period from 1921 to 1968. It contains manuscripts, professional correspondence, and technical publications. In 1924, Winfried Schumann was appointed to the professorship of Technical Electrical Engineering and served as the head of the Electrophysical Laboratory at the TH München until 1961. He gained recognition, among other things, as the namesake of the Schumann Resonances. For his research achievements, he received numerous awards.
