The private estate of Prof. Liebermeister (*1919 - †2009) spans from 1959 to 1991. It contains documents from both his teaching activities at TUM and his role as chief physician and clinic director. In 1955, Prof. Liebermeister took over the management of the Bacteriological Laboratory at the municipal hospital München Rechts der Isar. In 1967, he accepted the appointment to the chair of Medical Microbiology and Hygiene at TUM and assumed the leadership of the corresponding institute at the Klinikum Rechts der Isar.
