The private estate of Professor Hofer (*1867 - †1939) covers the period from 1887 to 1899. It contains documents from his studies (1887-1891) at the chemical-technical department of the TH Munich, as well as objects from his later professorial activities. Professor Hofer was appointed to the extraordinary professorship of electrochemistry at the TH Munich in 1907. From 1915 to 1934, he held the chair for physical chemistry, electrochemistry, and gas analysis.
