The private estate of Prof. Dietrich Fritz spans from 1969 to 2014 and contains materials from his teaching and research activities. In 1961, he accepted a position at the Technical University of Munich as the chair of vegetable cultivation in Freising-Weihenstephan, a newly established position that he led until his retirement in 1990. In 1988, Professor Dietrich Fritz was awarded the Cross of Merit on Ribbon of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany.
