The professional estate of Prof. Nußelt (*1882 - †1957) covers the period from 1908 to 1945. It contains documents from Prof. Nußelt's time as a student as well as his later teaching and research activities at the Technical University of Munich. In 1925, Prof. Nußelt was appointed as a full professor to the Chair of Theoretical Machine Science and named director of the Laboratory for Heat Engines. From 1925 until his retirement in 1951, he conducted research and taught as a professor of thermodynamics. Prof. Nußelt received notable awards for his contributions to the field of heat transfer.
